Just a sampling of what we make...

Own a piece of functional history

Thank you for coming by!  We are a family with a rich tradition of bit and spur making in the Vaquero style.

Field bits and spurs began in 1846 when Edwin Field came to California  on the Fremont expedition.  Four generations later, Field Family Bits and Spurs are made with the same tools and patterns used by vaqueros and buckaroos for well over a century.  Choose from in-stock items or ask about custom orders.

Five generations of hard work, creativity and supreme craftsmanship are represented on the following pages.

Made in Santa Barbara county since 1870.

Upcoming 2017 shows:

January 24th-28th, Red Bluff Bull and Gelding Sale, Red Bluff, CA

March 2nd - 5th, Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo, Winnemucca, NV
